Abstract
İş dünyasındaki artan rekabet iş yaşamının yanı sıra özel yaşamı da etkiler hale gelmiştir. Rekabete dayalı iş dünyasında maruz kalınan yoğun tempo ve uzun süreli çalışma bu iki yaşam arasındaki dengeyi bozmaktadır. İş-yaşam dengesi uyumunun çoğu kez sağlanamadığı mesleklerden biri de Serbest Muhasebeci Mali Müşavirlik (SMMM) mesleğidir. Mali müşavirler işletmelerin kuruluşundan başlayıp, kapanışına kadar beyan edilmesi gereken vergisel işlemleri, sosyal güvenlik kurumu ile ilişkili işlemleri, mükellefin bağlantılı olduğu diğer kurumlarla olan tüm süreçleri yürütmektedir. Bu süreçleri yürütürken birçok yasal mevzuatı takip etmesi gerekmekte ve edindiği bilgilerle yüzlerce işlem yapmaktadır. Meslek mensupları arasındaki haksız rekabet, mükelleflerle yaşanan finansal zorluklar gibi mesleğin kendine özgü sorunları da meslek mensuplarının sorumluklarını yerine getirirken yoğun bir stres yaşamalarına, aile ve özel yaşantılarından fedakârlık yapmak zorunda kalmalarına neden olmaktadır. Bu çalışma, TRB-1 bölgesinde (Elâzığ-Malatya-Bingöl-Tunceli illeri) faaliyet gösteren SMMM’lerin iş-yaşam dengesi arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektedir. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre sosyodemografik özellikler ile iş-yaşam dengesini ölçen alt boyutlar arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmamıştır. Toplam çalışma saati, kendine zaman ve yaşamın işten ibaret olması boyutları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık göstermiştir. Mesai saatleri dışında çalışma durumunun, yaşamın işten ibaret olması boyutu arasında anlamlı bir farklılık gösterdiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Abstract
The increasing competition in the business world has become an impact on business life as well as private life. The intense pace and long-term work exposed in the competitive business world decays the balance between these two lives. Certified Public Accountant carry out tax transactions that must be declared starting from the establishment of the enterprises and until their closure, transactions related to the Social Security Institution, all processes with other institutions to which the taxpayer is connected. In carrying out these processes, he must follow many legal regulations and make hundreds of transactions with the information he has obtained. Unfair competition between professionals, payers, such as financial difficulties experienced with the issues that are unique to the profession in fulfilling the responsibilities of professionals to live a lot of stress, family and private life that leads to having to make a sacrifice.In this study, the relationship between work-life balance of freelance accountants working in the TRB-1 Region (Elâzığ-Malatya-Bingöl-Tunceli provinces) will be examined. According to the results obtained from the study, there was no significant difference between sociodemographic characteristics and the lower dimensions measuring work-life balance. It showed a significant difference between the dimensions of total working hours, Self-time and the fact that life consists of work. It was concluded that the out-of-hours work situation showed a significant difference between the dimensions of life consisting of work.
