City contains a physical area in which social relations are established, extant and growing, consisting of development and change of humanity. Urbanization process is supported by population accumulation which leads to changes specific to cities in human behavior and relations. İn this context, Being Urbanized is defined as the process by which social change creates changes in people’s behavior, in the relationships, and in the immaterial and material lifestyles in value judgements. Being Urbanized arised from depending upon formation of Urban Consciousness. Therefore, Urban Consciousness can be defined as a sense of citizen’s understanding of the city’s culture and feeling of responsibility for the city. İn this study, it is aimed to determine the Urban Consciousness of the citizens living provinces in Bitlis. Within the scope of the study, An empricial application will be given based on random sampling and volunteering to citizes in Bitlis province. The data will be assessed and finalized through the SPSS program and interpreted in terms of urban consciousness level and a determination will be made.
