IJBEMP regards the accessibility of its website as an integral part of its publishing activity. The journal aims to ensure that readers can access its content equally, regardless of age, disability, device used, or connection speed.
Adopted Standard
Our journal follows Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. These guidelines require content to be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust. Site design and content production are carried out with these criteria in mind.
Measures Taken for Accessibility
· A clear heading hierarchy and meaningful link text are used in page structure.
· Sufficient colour contrast is provided between text and background.
· Content is designed to be navigable using a keyboard alone.
· Alternative text (alt text) is provided for images.
· Readable captions and descriptions are used for tables, graphs, and figures.
· Font size can be enlarged through browser settings; content is not lost when text is resized.
· Published articles are presented in a format compatible with screen reader software.
Known Limitations
Some content or tools delivered through third-party service providers (external links, embedded documents, older publications) may not fully conform to these criteria. In such cases, efforts are made to provide an accessible alternative. In archived back issues and supplements, the level of accessibility may differ from that of current content.
Feedback and Requests
If you encounter any content, document, or function on the site that is inaccessible, you may provide feedback via the email address ijbemp@gmail.com. Simply indicate the page or document you wish to access and the problem you encountered. Inaccessible content is provided in an alternative format (accessible PDF, plain text, HTML, etc.) within a reasonable period. Requests are resolved within 60 days.
Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is not a one-off compliance exercise but an ongoing commitment. Our journal undertakes to observe accessibility criteria in site updates and new publication processes, to review incoming feedback regularly, and to make the necessary improvements.
