Stating that we are living only in one world is the most heard phrase of today. On the one hand the process of world becoming one place is defined by the concept of globalization; on the other hand globalization is bringing about social change in economic, political and cultural field. Globalization is a concept that cannot be agreed upon with a single definition because it is a concept that affects many dimensions. Generally, globalization can be defined as both world’s getting smaller and the concentration of world consciousness just in one part. The world's getting smaller has made the bond of globalization with space a current issue still after the theories of time-space compression. The changes that taking place with globalization are experienced in the world order with its all aspects. Communication, information technologies and mobility of the capital are differentiating spaces. This is not only true for governments, but also for city. When city life changes many elements of the city from its physical space to culture are influenced by the change. All these economic, cultural, and of the emerging global cities emerged along with technological developments seem to be inserted into the world economy The aim of this study was to examine in detail the concept of globalization and global cities as a result of the globalization process, characteristics similar and different aspects, is to examine the impact on the country and even the globe found.
